An undisturbed Victorian elegance. Southwold thoroughly deserves the praise which has been heaped on it over the years, with its privileged geography, working lighthouse, famous Adams Brewery, excellent pubs and variety of quality shops, and places to eat.
Part of it’s unrivalled appeal is that it still retains an air of Victorian elegance which so may seaside resorts have lost.
But most of all it is surely one of the most celebrated of the country’s beach hut towns, with a string of impeccable brightly coloured huts lining the shore of it beautiful award winning beaches.
